Labor Day

Labor Day Weekend is the unofficial last weekend of summer. Many people celebrate the three day weekend with picnics, family get-togethers and end of summer trips before school starts. Many area pools and beaches close after this weekend. Some of us like to take advantage of those Labor Day Sales that our local retailers offer. Government offices are closed, as are many other businesses. The roadways are busy - so it pays to be extra diligent when driving.
Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894 and was intended to recognize the contributions and achievements of American workers - something we should do on a regular basis! Not everybody enjoys a three day weekend, our police, fire and emergency service professionals are frequently very busy coming to the public's aid. We should remember to thank them, as well as the cashier who rings up your purchase when your taking advantage of that great sale.
If your celebration results in water or fire damage or if you just want your carpets cleaned before the Fall season begins, give us at SERVPRO of Southeast Milwaukee County a call.
