Water damage can be devastating to your home or commercial building. The first concern when this occurs should always be the safety of yourself and others in the building. Here are a few things to keep in mind when water damage is initially recognized:
- Stay vigilant about possible electrical and "slip and fall" hazards in the building
- Assess the safety risk of the disaster and decide whether or not it is safe to remain in the building while SERVPRO arrives
- Materials can become extremely heavy when saturated with water. Make sure to be careful when moving the contents of your home or commercial building
